Footnotes
Offences that have come to the authority's attention in Åland refer to crimes committed on Åland.
If the geographical location of the crime is unclear, the crime scene is determined to the place where the crime has been reported.
Crimes committed on ferries which traffic harbours in Åland is reported according to the ferry's position when the crime is committed.
Only offences against the penal code are reported, minor offenses are therefore not included in these statistics.
A crime is considered to have been solved when the facts, concerned parties and other circumstances that are required for a trial have been fully investigated.
