The statistics are based on individual data from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland. The persons who are registered as unemployed job seekers in the material count as 'unemployed during the year'. Monthly data is available (reporting date), but not daily information, so the figure can be even higher. The persons whose length of unemployment is 365 days or more are considered 'continuously unemployed for the whole year'. The statistics was revised in 2023 due to improved production methods
